    Early Fall Apple Tiered Tray

    Apple tiered tray

September is almost here and I'm looking forward to apple picking! Today I'm celebrating this autumn tradition with my early fall apple tiered tray.

Caramel apple sign on a tiered tray

Hi there, friends! Fall is almost here and it's supposed to cool down a bit this week. Just in time to do some fall decorating! I've gotten a head start by decorating my early fall apple tiered tray.

    Apple tiered tray

I will have to admit that I have become smitten with decorating tiered trays. It all started this summer with my watermelon tiered tray and my patriotic one.

So when I began thinking how I would decorate my tiered tray for fall I settled on an apple theme for two reasons.

    1. I am a retired teacher so my thoughts naturally turn to apples at the beginning of the school year.
    2. I grew up in the upstate of SC where there are many apple orchards. My family always attended the Apple Festival in Westminster, SC every year. So much fun!
    Apple bookstack and apple sign

Recently my sister-in-law asked me where I get my items that I use to decorate a tiered tray. The little bookstack, the sign with the basket of apples, and the wooden beads came from different vendors on Etsy.

Painted ball jar with red and green straws

The caramel apple sign came from Etsy as well but the painted Ball jar is one that I made a year or so. It makes a great container for colored straws that I get from Amazon.

    Apple pie tea towel

Here is a closeup of the apple pie tea towel that I found on Etsy as well. I cannot wait to make an apple pie, can you?

    Stuffed fabric apple

I like to make a few things for my tiered trays. The little stuffed fabric apple at the top of the tray is one of four that I made last week.

If you guys are interested in a tutorial on how to make these, I can do a quick post to show you how.

    Faux apple and tea towel

I ordered some faux apples from Amazon to use in decorating our front porch, and I will have to say that they are the most realistic ones I've ever seen. They look just like a Pink Lady which is my favorite apple variety.

Seeing my apple tiered tray makes me smile as I eagerly anticipate going apple picking in the mountains soon!

Now you've got me thinking about apple pie. JC made a pear pie last week with pears from a neighbors tree and it was delish!

Dang, I commented, but it disappeared, so this MAY be a duplicate. I LOVE your apple tiered tray for the fall, Jane! At first glance, I totally thought of a teacher, but then the more I looked, it would be perfect in a white kitchen for fall decor! Lovely! My grandkids would love this, but I would have to keep them away from trying to eat all the faux yumminess!

The teacher in my loves how you decorated your tiered tray for fall with an apple theme. You found the cutest things to use to decorate it and I love the adorable stuffed apple that you crafted for the top of the tray. It's so refreshing to see how colorful you decor is. I love color and get tired of neutral decor that is so popular these days.

The "candy apples" are amazing! Almost need a cute little sign saying "Caution. Do not eat". LOL! Always enjoy seeing your tiered tray creativity. BTW, do you remember the shriveled apple head dolls from way back in the folk art days?

Oh my gosh Jane, how fun!! Definitely something a retired teacher would feel at home with but I'd love it too. It's so bright and cheery. That faux candied apple and the apple pie embroidered tea towel are fabulous. I can't wait to make my mom's dutch apple pie. It was something she always made for a special occasion, but I'm think maybe I'll make one this weekend.

I really like the tray. It is a nice transition into fall. I simply can't put out full fall now, but I am doing some apple and school bus things. Those candied apples are adorable. I love using Etsy since I feel like I am helping creative locals out.
