Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower cut into florets
  • ½ cup of your favorite vegan buffalo sauce
  • ½ cup gluten-free Panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray for greasing

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. This preheating step ensures even cooking.

Prepare the Cauliflower:

  • Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets, making sure they are relatively uniform in size.
    1 head of cauliflower

Prepare the Coating:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free Panko bread crumbs, oat flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
½ cup gluten-free Panko bread crumbs, ¼ cup oat flour, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Mix well to create the dry coating mixture.

Coat the Cauliflower:

  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the vegan buffalo sauce, ensuring it's well-coated. Allow any excess sauce to drip off.
½ cup of your favorite vegan buffalo sauce

Dredge in Coating:

  • After coating with the sauce, roll each cauliflower floret in the dry coating mixture until it's fully coated.
  • Press the coating gently onto the cauliflower to ensure it sticks.

Grease the Air Fryer Basket:

  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray. This helps prevent sticking and promotes crispiness.

Air Fry the Cauliflower Bites:

  • Place the coated cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the cauliflower halfway through. Cook until the cauliflower is tender and the coating is crispy and golden brown.

Optional Extra Sauce:

  • If you like your buffalo cauliflower bites extra saucy, you can toss them in more vegan buffalo sauce before serving.

Serve:

  • Once the cauliflower bites are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a serving platter.
  • These cauliflower bites are not only delicious but also vegan and gluten-free, making them suitable for various dietary preferences. Enjoy the spicy kick and delightful crunch!
