With just a few ingredients and your air fryer, you can create the perfect loaf of crusty bread. Get that bakery-style taste in the comfort of your own kitchen.
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
2 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour, ¼ teaspoon Salt
In a separate small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in lukewarm water and let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
1 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast, 1 cup Lukewarm Water
Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture.
2 ½ tablespoons Olive Oil
Mix and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. This might take about 5-7 minutes.
Let the Dough Rest:
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour. The dough should double in size.
Shape the Bread:
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release the air.
Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in the air fryer basket.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
Air Frying the Bread:
Place the shaped bread dough in the preheated air fryer basket.
First Round of Cooking:
Air fry the bread at 380°F (190°C) for 35 minutes. This initial cooking time will help the bread develop its crust and structure.
Flip and Second Round of Cooking:
Carefully remove the basket and flip the bread over.
Continue air frying for an additional 7 minutes at the same temperature (380°F or 190°C). This will further brown and crisp the underside of the bread.
Cool and Enjoy:
Once the bread is golden brown and crusty on the outside, carefully remove it from the air fryer basket.
Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
