Make delicious Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos using your air fryer with this easy recipe. Crispy shrimp, tangy sauce, and soft tortillas, a perfect combination!
Clean and devein the shrimp, ensuring the tails are removed. Place them in a bowl.
1 pound raw medium-sized shrimp
In a separate bowl, whisk together the low-fat mayonnaise, sambal oelek, sweet chili sauce, and Tabasco sauce to create the bang bang sauce. Adjust the spiciness to your liking. Reserve ¼ of the sauce for drizzling.
1 tablespoon sambal oelek, ¼ cup sweet chili sauce, ½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce, ½ cup low-fat mayonnaise
Place the Panko bread crumbs in a shallow bowl next to the sauce.
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
Coat and Air Fry the Shrimp:
Dip each shrimp into the bang bang sauce, ensuring they are well coated.
After coating with the sauce, carefully roll the shrimp in the Panko bread crumbs, ensuring an even coating.
Arrange the coated shrimp on a single layer in the crisper tray of the air fryer, making sure they don't overlap. You may need to do this in batches.
Lightly spray the tops of the shrimp with cooking spray for a golden brown finish.
