Instructions
Prep the Ingredients:
In a bowl, crack the eggs and gently beat them with a fork to create an egg wash.
In another bowl, combine the Panko-style bread crumbs with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
2 cups Panko-style bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Coat the Ravioli:
Take a frozen cheese ravioli and dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's fully coated.
1 bag frozen cheese ravioli, 2 eggs
Then, dip the egg-coated ravioli into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the crumbs onto the ravioli to adhere. Make sure it's well coated.
Repeat this process for all the ravioli.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating helps achieve a crispier result.
Arrange the Ravioli:
Lightly grease the air fryer basket with oil or use cooking spray to prevent sticking.
1 tablespoon oil or oil spray
Place the egg-washed and breaded ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overcrowded; you may need to cook in batches.
Air Fry the Ravioli:
Air fry the ravioli at 350°F for 14 minutes.
At the halfway mark (around 7 minutes), carefully pull out the basket and flip the ravioli over to ensure even cooking. Spray the tops of the ravioli with more oil.
Continue air frying for an additional 7 minutes or until the ravioli are golden brown and toasted on both sides. Adjust the time as needed based on your air fryer's performance.
Serve Hot:
Once the ravioli are perfectly golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer basket.
Garnish and Enjoy:
Sprinkle the toasted ravioli with grated Parmesan cheese and your choice of dry or fresh herbs like parsley or basil.
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon dry or fresh herbs like parsley or basil
Serve immediately as an appetizer or snack with marinara sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
