If you’re reading this, then you’ve already noticed that we’ve redesigned our look. Don’t you think it looks good? It’s so us! After blogging for a year now, we decided to take our blog to the next level. To help us to do that, we hired a professional designer. After searching for weeks to find a designer who worked on WordPress blogs, I happily found Michelle of Shabby Creations. She was a pleasure to work with, her rates were very reasonable, and most importantly, she captured the essence of our blog.
In the header, you can see our front porch, the new stone walkway that we completed last year, some red and white roses that we grow, and some veggies from the garden. And that trowel is a tool I use frequently!
Next, you see our social media icons. Look how cleverly Michelle designed them being carried by a Carolina wren, the state bird of South Carolina. You can click on those icons to like us on Facebook, follow us on Pinterest, subscribe to our feed in a reader or through email, or connect with us through google +.
On the right, we have some updated pictures of our pets along with those red frames that should help you find whatever you’re looking for on our blog.
And look at our favicon! Favicons are the small pictures you see beside the URLs in your browser’s address bar. Ours is a cabbage head!
We’re so excited about our new look, and we hope you are, too.
Just to remind you, our $50 Pottery Barn giveaway is still going on. Click here if you haven’t entered.
